**JAVA/SCALA DEVELOPER – JAVA, RUBY, MAVEN – MEDIA – LONDON**

The Client
A highly innovative and well funded media group seeks an experienced Java/Scala Developer to support the development of technical solutions for a range of next generation social networking services. This is a key role and offers the opportunity to work in a challenging and green-field environment.
The Role
The Developer will participate in multiple activities with a heavy dependency on application toolkit solutions. As such, the responsible person will play an important part in ensuring the successful development and delivery of a new and exciting product proposition.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the;

- in-house development of advances online application platform solutions
- code Development of a range of discrete component development projects.
- Feedback to design teams and downstream support into integration, test and deployment teams
- Contribution to planning and costing estimation activities as part of the project team


The Candidate
- Minimum of 5 years experience in hands on development
- Evidence of delivery of at least three development and integration project
- Hands on Java, Ruby, REST, Maven
- Experience with OSGi, Scala and SCA is also desirable
- Experience with three develeopment Languages
- Experience in Agile
- Previous exposure to any functional programming language or Erlang would be highly beneficial.
- Previous experience with SOA and distibuted/grid computing environments.
