Executive Director - Capital Markets Market Risk Management

International Investment Bank seeks senior risk manager / trader to join their London Team. Role:
- Identify, capture & report salient market risks relating to the London wholesale business.
- Provide initiative & a ‘view’ through daily VaR, sensitivity & stress testing as to the moves and drivers within the market that may result in a loss for the business.
- Work to improve the Capital Markets risk measures working alongside colleagues, technology & the business to capture unidentified risk.
- Work with business to ensure that the risk control measurement & framework evolved with the business. Work towards successful role out of business & risk initiatives.
- Ad hoc exposure to counterparty / credit & operational risk responsibilities. As well as dialogue with internal & external audit.

Requirements:
- Previous senior exposure within market risk management or trading background.
- Outstanding knowledge of derivatives (in particular equity – additional knowledge of FX & commodities is beneficial)
- Must be proactive self-starter who is flexible & able to multi-task.
- Excellent communication skills & technical knowledge.
- Quantitative background with excellent education.
- Knowledge of numerical methods & analytical modelling (VBA / programming preferable)
