Procurement Manager – Warwickshire – £35k

A market leader in technology and education urgently requires a Procurement Manager to complete their Purchasing team and their Procurement expansion drive

This client’s unique contribution to education through IT makes it an exciting and innovative organisation to work for. In addition its location in Warwickshire offers excellent road and rail links and is within walking distance of shops, theatres and cafes

This is a non-management role where you will be responsible for putting in place procurement arrangements to deliver best value goods and services on a national scale and helping to support the wider education sector.

The role also includes:

- Running of appropriate EU procurement competition to establish the elected procurement arrangement
- Undertake a supplier performance management activity to ensure suppliers perform to their SLA
- Establish user requirements through stakeholder engagement

This is an integral role and recruiting the right person is paramount to the success of the organisation and as an employer they strive to develop their workforce through ongoing staff development, recruitment programmes and an annual performance management scheme

You will play an important contribution towards their target of achieving cashable cost savings of £120m over three years

To apply you will need:

- Commercial procurement experience
- Relevant market knowledge/ICT
- Public Sector EU procurement regulations
- Developing procurement strategies and contractual arrangements
- Contribute to development and implementation of contract management strategies
- Demonstrate a sound understand of commercial risk and experience of managing large national agreements on behalf of a diverse range of customers
- Proven negotiation skills
