Operations Manager – Drilling Rig Upgrade,Aberdeen

A leading service company dealing with drilling rig upgrades got an opening for a permanent Operations Manager to be based in Aberdeen.

Candidates must have direct experience with drilling rig upgrades and ideally have worked for drilling contractors or rig repair service companies.

You will be working closely with the Operations Director and be responsible for the organisation and supervision of all activities relating to smooth running of project services within the business unit.

Responsibilities:

- Responsible for the preparation of annual budget relating to Projects for Approval with Operations Director
- Responsible for achieving the necessary Sales and Gross Margins to meet with the agreed budget.
- Responsible for the general functional management of all Projects within the business unit to ensure that individual projects meet all expectations with respect to Sales, Gross Margin, Delivery Dates, Quality and Safety.
- Liaise with all Shared Services Managers/Lead Personnel to identify up and coming workloads such that they can identify personnel shortfalls to Operations Director.
- Ensure effective utilization of Personnel, Fixed Assets in collaboration with the Operations Director or in their absence Group CEO.
- Generate and submit brief documented overview of Monthly Operations to the Operations Director highlighting basic information (i.e. Status against Budget, POB, Invoicing and Job Costing, Purchasing, etc).
- Chair Monthly Operations Meeting for all personnel associated with projects.
- Highlight any development opportunities to the Operations Director for discussion so that any submission to the Board can be fully evaluated with sufficient time to provide case for approval.
- Identify opportunities to collaborate and/or combine Business Services with that of other business units to provide a greater level of service to our clients and ultimately greater opportunities for the Group of Companies.


The roles comes with an excellent salary and benefit package with a basic salary in the region of £75K - £85K and car allowance for the right candidate
