One of the leading service companies within inspection services to the oil and gas industry has currently got an opening within their senior management team.
They are looking for an Inspection General Manager to head up the inspection department. The role is a permanent position based in Aberdeen.
As Inspection General Manager your duties will include:
- Responsible person for all company activities associated with the implementation of Inspection, Integrity and Project support to ensure that all client and companys operational, commercial and QHSE expectations and targets are met
- Accountable for the commercial and profit and loss implementation of the inspection and integrity business including preparation of annual budgets, approval of cost time resource estimates, completion /monitoring of agreed scopes within agreed budgets
- Develop existing business opportunities and generate new business opportunities
- Ensure effective communication on integrity and service issues
- Responsibility for provision of competent personnel in the areas of service management, corrosion/inspection engineering, specialist engineers/technicians
- Oversee, facilitate and input to the development, continuous improvement and delivery of the inspection business
- Responsibility for the correct identification and prioritisation of areas of work and resource demands. Advising where there are issues preventing completion of planned inspections by the agreed target date
- Ensure that business and HSE risk implications are clearly identified and appropriately assessed for consideration within the Inspection Management Team
- Ensure all our activities are performed in a professional, efficient, safe and cost effective manner and to the complete satisfaction of our customers
- Ensure that best practices, technology, techniques and innovation, developed and implemented across similar integrity contracts are applied
- Direct Management of growing the operations department, communicating with both onshore and offshore workforces
Suitable candidate must come from a strong technical background within inspection, asset integrity and corrosion (min 15 years experience), have a minimum of 5 years in a management position.
You must also have a strong commercial background, and be degree qualified (ideally chartered).
The role comes with an attractive salary package and will be based on individual experience.
