Shift Trader – Energy Major – London - Up to £50K + Shift Allowance + Benefits

My client has an urgent need to hire an experienced shift trader to work within successful London based gas operations team. My client employs over 16,000 staff, over 200 locations throughout the UK, Ireland and continental Europe, focusing on the generation, transmission, distribution and supply of electricity and gas alongside energy trading and utility contracting.

A Shift Trader is required to fill a front office position. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimal balancing and trading working with the best energy traders in the industry. You will operate the gas / power supply and demand activities to the greatest possible commercial and operational benefit including Trading, to maximise value. Plus, performing nomination procedures for NBP, and Continental Trading Hubs, Interconnectors and Storage sites globally.

Candidates require a degree in a numerate, engineering or computing discipline and an understanding of commercial UK and Continental gas / power issues. Plus a proven track record within the gas / power industry and knowledge of the relevant Transportation contracts and regulatory regimes.
