Database Architect (Oracle) - IT Director - Boutique (£120k+)
Very Significant (£120000 upwards)
Perm
England - London
A rare opportunity has become available to join a start up financial boutique with a business plan that will revolutionise the fund industry. The model has enormous growth potential and the firm is already in place to become the market leader.
The potential is almost unrivalled in the industry, meaning the potential equity stake on offer could be incredibly valuable. The model is unique, and if successful will lead to the firm being a major player in the financial services industry.
The role is ideal of someone that would consider themselves (or would want to be) a 'doer' rather than a 'man manager' as initially the role will be hands on and will involve hands on work. It does obviously have scope to evolve as expansion occurs.
They are looking for someone with experience designing and building Oracle databases with large amounts of financial data sets. This will come from at least 5 years previous experience working as Oracle DBA in major financial services firm (sell side or buy side - ideally at hedge fund, Tier 1 investment bank or top institutional fund manager). You will need an intimate understanding of and experience handling the performance issues involved in databases with large financial data sets.
In addition you will need to be an expert in indexation and other strategies for performance tuning, along with having a solid understanding and firm practical experience of handling databases with:
- Market data
- Instrument reference data
- Party data
- Corporate Actions
- Trade data
- Portfolio and funds data
This is a rare opportunity for a commercially minded Database Architect, IT Director, IT Architect, Development Consultant etc. to join a firm with significant venture capital backing and a client base in order.
Remuneration will not be a problem for the right candidate so please call to find out more details. Please do not be put off if you are more experienced than the role may suggest as remuneration will not be a stumbling block. It is important for them to find the right person.
