Chief Technology Officer - London

Global quantitative investment management firm has mandated Huxley to search for a new CTO to work within their London business. This house specialises in absolute return strategies and performance has been exceptional since inception. The firm possesses a strong position in the market and highly scalable platform with plans to diversify geographically in addition to further acquisitions and strategy launches.

The CTO will lead the technology and development team and take responsibility for this critical business moving forward. They will be facing off to the CEO, Partners and Portfolio Managers day-to-day, and working closely with the Quant and Research function to develop and optimise the development and tech infrastructure.

The successful candidate will have previously led development teams and projects, managed libraries, had exposure to front-office businesses, be familiar with risk management, derivatives and systematic trading. You should have strong knowledge of quantitative finance and be proficient coding in C#, .NET, SQL, FIX and XML. Experience with Oracle databases and code management tools is also required.

This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on CTO with entrepreneurial drive to join with the mandate to mould and grow the development and broader business. This hire will be looking at becoming a Partner in the firm in 2-3 years time if successful, with uncapped remuneration.
