Shift Trader – European Oil & Gas Major – Central London – Up to £50K

The Shift Trader will be a member of a 24hr / 7 day week Shift Team responsible for all aspects of scheduling & operation of the UK portfolio. Key Tasks and Responsibilities include: Liaising with power stations and traders to manage short term positions. Executing transactions and balancing positions. Managing nomination and notification of volumes. Optimizing income from short term operations. Developing systems and procedures to manage European energy scheduling. The ideal candidate will be graduate, computer literate with proven analytical skills. Interest and experience in the energy sector with analytical/commercial exposure to energy markets. Interest/Understanding of UK power and gas markets, power station economics and UK power consumption. Ability to identify issues, evaluate factual data and generate ideas. Demonstrates sound problem solving skills and works well with details. Logical, methodical, persistent and results orientated. Self starter, proactive and team player.
